Production Update
Happy New Year to you all! Hope you had a lovely holiday season.
Sorry it's been a while since we checked in with an update on Elizabeth I and The Guard... When you're in the thick of it, you forget to take a step back and see how far you've come. So we're happy to report that molds have all been made for the figures now, and we're currently just working through last tweaks before creating the final toys.
These blank sculptures were created in order to cast the molds from, so a lot of time goes into making sure they are correct.
Once the molds are complete, a sample toy is made up to review. We've spent the last few weeks going back and forth with tweaks to get everything perfect, and driving our partners crazy I'm sure.
It's easy to zoom way into photos and pick things apart, when in reality the figures are very small and minor differences would not be noticed... but we want to ensure the absolute best figures and care deeply about the final result.
Packaging
Meanwhile, we've also been overcoming all the hurdles associated with new packaging! Text wasn't properly centred on the prototypes, so we had to tweak all our measurements for graphics. Colours varied quite wildly from digital to offset printing... something very hard to comment on from behind a screen. Our amazing production team liaises with the printer for us, and it involved a few late nights for us all. But, we got there in the end and they're looking awesome.

Timeline
The final samples should be in hand for us next week to review. This would have still allowed us plenty of time to get production wrapped in early March... but we did not realise our partners take a full month off for Chinese New Year! If the samples look perfect we should still get these out the door in March for all our lovely Kickstarter backers, so fingers crossed. That means they are likely available towards the end of April or early May if you missed out on the Kickstarter.
